Every tool that goes out is checked out against a customer and a rental period, and the cost is worked out for us when it comes back. We were running all of this in registers before and losing track of what was still outside. Now a single screen tells us what is pending, and following up on returns takes minutes.
The weighing scale integration works exactly the way it should — the weight comes straight into the bill with no manual typing and no mistakes. The VFD display on the customer side is a big plus, because the customer can see what is being weighed and what it costs while it happens. It has removed a lot of arguments at the counter for us.
The reception kiosk handles walk-ins on its own — the customer picks a service, answers only the questions that service needs, and signs the disclaimer on the tablet. The booking is waiting in Odoo for our receptionist to approve by the time they sit down. Our front desk is no longer the queue it used to be.
The billing application runs on the counter PC itself, so it stays quick even on the older machines we did not want to replace yet. When the connection drops it keeps taking bills and syncs everything back once we are online again. That alone has saved us more days of trading than I can count.

Each team learnt its own part while that part was going live, so nobody was sitting in front of a screen they had never seen. Adoption did not stall the way it did with the system we used before.
